Frequently asked
What is Day Score?
A number for how your day is developing compared with your own history. Completions, targets, consistency and mood check-ins each contribute. It is personal — there is no comparison with other people — and it is not a health measure.
What can Q see?
Only what a question needs: the relevant habits, completions, mood check-ins and Day Scores for the period you ask about. Q shows you what it read before answering. It never reads journal entries.
Are my journals private?
Yes. Journals sync with your account so a new phone does not wipe years of writing, but they are not used by Q, not sold, and not browsed by HabitX staff for product features.
Does HabitX work offline?
You can log habits and check in offline. Changes sync to your account when you are back online. Q needs a connection.
What is in the free plan?
Five habits, one routine, one goal, the calendar, mood check-ins, today's Day Score and a limited Q. No ads, no time limit.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited habits, routines and goals, full Day Score history, and full Q including recommendations.
Is there a free trial?
The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for customers the App Store finds eligible. The monthly plan does not. Apple shows the exact terms before you subscribe.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings on your iPhone → your name → Subscriptions → HabitX → Cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
I paid but Pro isn't unlocked.
In HabitX go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. If it still doesn't unlock, contact us with the receipt email from Apple.
I got a new phone. Where is my data?
Sign in with the same Apple or Google account and your habits, routines, goals, completions, mood history and journals come back.
Why did a habit not appear today?
Check its repeat schedule and the time of day on the habit page. Habits set to specific weekdays only appear on those days.
Notifications aren't arriving.
iPhone Settings → Notifications → HabitX → Allow Notifications. Also check Focus modes, which can silence reminders.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and everything in it. There is also a form of the same request by email — see the Delete your account page.
Subscriptions
Restore a purchase
- Sign in to the Apple ID that made the purchase.
- Open HabitX → Settings → Restore Purchases. Confirm: menu label in the release build
- If Pro still isn’t unlocked, forward Apple’s receipt email to support.
Cancel or change plan
iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HabitX. You can switch between monthly and annual there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the paid period ends.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Account
Sign in
HabitX supports Sign in with Apple and Google. If you chose Hide My Email with Apple, our messages go to your Apple relay address; check that it is still forwarding in Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security.
Delete your account
Follow the steps on Delete your account. Deletion is permanent.
Troubleshooting
- Data looks out of date. Pull down on Today to sync, and make sure you have a connection.
- Q says it cannot answer. Q needs some history to work with. Most questions need at least two weeks of a habit being logged.
- The app crashes on launch. Update iOS and HabitX, then restart the phone. If it continues, email us the iOS version and what you tapped last.
- Day Score seems wrong. Open the score for that day to see each contribution. Partial completions and missed targets lower it; mood check-ins move it too.
